3. Call for Papers: Between Crisification and Legal Resilience – Change and Stability in EU External Relations Law. In recent years, crisis narratives have dominated EU legal discourse. While traditionally crises are seen as moments of rapture in a continuum of normal law and policy-making within a given governance field, the recent proliferation of crises – whether real or perceived – has arguably led to a perpetual state of exceptionalism. This ‘crisification’ raises a whole host of questions for EU law – and for EU external relations law in particular. The conference aims to explore the overarching topic of ‘crisification’ of EU external relations law and invites critical reflection on different aspects of the debate. The ASIL International Criminal Law Interest Group will be holding its annual Works-in-Progress Conference in person on Monday 24 June 2024 at Boston University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. Submissions at various stages of development on any topic related to international criminal law broadly construed (including transnational criminal law) are welcomed. The ICLR addresses all aspects of international law and the international community. The Journal aims to explore the implications of various traditions of international law, as well as more current perceived hegemonic trends for the idea of an international community. 7. Rosalyn Higgins Prize. The Law & Practice of International Courts and Tribunals now invites submissions for the 2024 Rosalyn Higgins Prize. The Rosalyn Higgins Prize is an annual prize which awards EUR 1.000 of Brill book vouchers and a one-year LPICT subscription to the author of the best article on the law and practice of the International Court of Justice, either focusing solely on the ICJ or with the ICJ as one of the dispute settlement mechanisms under consideration. The Western Academy for Advanced Research (WAFAR) is seeking applications for two (2) postdoctoral associates to work with the upcoming WAFAR theme on “The Possibilities for Peace in the Twenty-First Century.” WAFAR, based at the University of Western Ontario, Canada, brings together interdisciplinary and international teams of scholars to address major issues facing humanity through periods of dedicated focus. It is expected that the postdoctoral associate will work with WAFAR for the duration of the project, spanning from January 2025 until December 2025. The Editorial Board of the Cambridge International Law Journal (CILJ) is inviting submissions for Volume 13(2), to be published in December 2024.
