ASSP Pakistan team feels honored to have their five members appointed in the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Council of Sindh province, recently established by the Government of Sindh.
Mr. Akhtar Quddus (Regulatory Chair), Ms Zulekha Soorma (Assembly Delegate), Ms Saman Laiq Abbasi (WISE Coordinator South), and Mr. Tariq Moen (Secretary Fire Protection Association of Pakistan) are among very senior professionals. Syed Ali Ashraf Navi sb shall be the secretary of council being Joint Director Labor department, Sindh.
Establishment of OSH Council has been achieved with personal commitment of Mr. Abdul Rasheed Solangi, Secretary to Government of Sindh and Syed Ali Ashraf Naqvi, Joint Director, Labor and Human Resource Department, Sindh. Most of OSH Council members are senior professionals who will contribute for the improvement of OSH in the province and set example for other provinces. ASSP Pakistan team is already in contact with the Labor and Human Resource Department of Punjab province to get their members taken in OSH Council Punjab which is yet to be established.
