Seattle—KIRO Newsradio 97.3 FM, Seattle Sports 710 AM have kicked off the 35th Annual Holiday Magic Fundraiser benefitting Treehouse, a nonprofit organization addressing the essential education and enrichment needs of children and youth in foster care in Washington State. The Holiday Magic program helps these young people by raising money to provide each child in the program with one significant holiday gift, along with support for programs and services throughout the year.

The 2023 fundraiser includes an online auction December 6-13, 2023, as well as a day of giving on December 13, 2023, from 6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Carter Subaru, a longtime Treehouse supporter, is the Presenting Sponsor of the 2023 Holiday Magic program.

The online auction features one-of-a-kind sports packages from the Seattle Seahawks and Seattle Mariners, autographed Seahawks merchandise, a fishing excursion with Tom Nelson (host of The Outdoor Line) and Dave Wyman, lunch for eight from Tom Douglas’ Hot Stove Society, concert tickets, radio show sit ins, family experiences, and more.

On December 13th, both KIRO Newsradio and Seattle Sports will encourage listeners to give to Treehouse through storytelling, special guests, musical acts, and hourly incentive items. Incentive items will be given on a first-come, first served basis and include restaurant gift cards, Mariners tickets, Seahawks Pro Shop gift cards, Safeway gift cards, autographed Tom Douglas Cookbooks, and other items to motivate donations. Listeners can call in to 888-973-5476 (KIRO) to donate through the call center throughout the day (6:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) and when hourly incentive items will be announced, or they can donate online.

“It is remarkable to celebrate 35 years of partnership between KIRO Newsradio and Treehouse in producing Holiday Magic,” said Cathy Cangiano, Bonneville Seattle Sr. Vice President and Market Manager. “We have worked with Treehouse to create the Holiday Magic Campaign longer than any other community initiative and it has become a part of our purpose and mission.”

“KIRO has been an invaluable partner and supporter of Treehouse and Holiday Magic, going all the way back to our roots,” said Dawn Rains, CEO of Treehouse. “We are truly grateful for the energy, care and passion they have put behind our partnership — it goes a long way in rallying the community so that thousands of youth across Washington state can receive the meaningful holiday gift and critical year-round support they deserve.”

Donations will be accepted online at MyNorthwest.com/HolidayMagic through December 24, 2023.
